Efferia albibarbis - female

Efferia albibarbis - Female
Howell Woods, Johnston County, North Carolina, USA
May 29, 2008
Size: 14 mm
Female in the same area as the male posted:

I thought this might be Efferia aestuans, but the ovipositor of the female does not look correct--it is much shorter--compare this Efferia aestuans:

(See comments--appears to be Efferia apicalis--yay, a new species for the guide!)
Update 3/4/2020. See comments on other linked image, further opinions suggest this is Efferia_albibarbis. Image also updated to larger size.
