Tricholochmaea
I'm sure this isn't
Tricholochmaea cavicollis
LeConte which has solid black antennae, including all the basal segments, unlike the specimen in this photograph. It's much more likely to be
Tricholochmaea kalmiae
(Fall) which has the basal antennal segments reddish (like this specimen) and the apical antennomeres piceous rather than black as in
T. cavicollis
.

Kinda reminds me of Diabrotica leaf beetles. In the jungle, butterflies, moths, and even grasshoppers visit dungheaps.
