Sowbug - Porcellio scaber

Sowbug - Porcellio scaber

Size: 10 mm BodyLenggth
This is the first time that I've seen a sowbug (called "carpenters" here in Newfoundland) that has a camoflauge pattern to it.  All the ones that I've seen previously have been gray or black.  I think that the one I photographed looks a lot like the one in West Virginia:
Under Rock Habitat, Sow Bug(Oniscidae)
Can anyone ID it below the Family Oniscidae?

Hi All, sorry for this mistake!

I must revise my previous identification, because it was false: not T. rathkii.

Observing the head, the pointy middle lobe is visible that makes it clear that this is a Porcellio scaber.

Moved from Sowbugs.

T. rathkii
Hi!

This is a Trachelipus rathkii from family Trachelipodidae. The color may vary, but one important trait distinguishes it: this has two flagellae on the antenna while Oniscidae has 3.

So, please remove it from Oniscidae and put under Trachelpodidae, Trachelipus rathkii.

Bye,
Ferenc
