The eyes seem somehow moist h
The eyes seem somehow moist here (but not in the other image). Is that a droplet of water or just my misinterpretation of the reflections?

I didn't have much time to find a container, so I used a pot we had just cooked noodles in. There was some olive oil and water left in the pot, so that's probably what you are seeing.

This spider is as common as can be, apparently, in Europe, but I've not yet seen one. Hurrah for your luck!

 
Spiders
not really lucky here at my house. These are very common here, but they are shy and keep to dark places. If you want to find some, try tearing out a deck, removing garden blocks, or digging through a wood pile. I suggest wearing gloves. :)
