Size: Approx. 1.5 inches
This beauty is a daily visitor at our milkweed plants. I have several other images, but this one shows some detail (ocelli, in particular) not otherwise available in the guide.

What an impressive specimen! I was surprised that I could not find any images in my insect books. Seems that such a gorgeous insect should warrant more study!
