velvety mite - Trombidium

velvety mite - Trombidium
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 29, 2005
Size: 3 - 4 mm
I found three-and-a-half of these today under a tarp in a shady spot. One's hind section had been eaten by something. There are quite a few pix of these in the guide, so I'll just post more unusual images. I assume they're adults.
