Adult antlion preparing to fly - Euptilon ornatum

Adult antlion preparing to fly - Euptilon ornatum
Williamson County, Texas, USA
May 31, 2008
This is the same insect (but some hours later) as shown earlier resting on the window-screen; I was able to observe it all day. In very late afternoon, just before sundown, it began to move, and just before sundown was up, like this, with wings moving slowly. Five minutes later, it had flown.
