Neuroptera? lavae feeding on scale insect parent and offspring

Neuroptera? lavae feeding on scale insect parent and offspring
Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, USA
This unknown larvae was found inside an adult female scale insect. It was feeding on the crawlers. We pulled it out and took an image. I can only guess that it is a Neuropteran, however I'm not certain which family. The mandibles seem small. Any help is appreciated.

#187393 Identification – Coleoptera?
I don't think this is a neuropteran. Would be nice to have a better shot of the head to be sure, but the jaws don't look right. Also, I've never heard of any neuropterans feeding like this. I'd guess that this may be some kind of a beetle larvae.

Interesting!
I wonder if this might be the larva of a dustywing? I think we have an existing image or two in the guide...They look nothing like what you would expect when you think of generic lacewing larvae. Nice find and documentation, Andy.
