Scared the crap out of me. - Corydalus cornutus

Size: 2 to 2.5 inches long.
This really scared the crap out of me. I was outside of my work building (which sits next to the Souhegan River) so I am curious what kind of bug this is as I have never seen it before in my life. And I have lived in this town for 21 years now so i am really curious.

I believe
that Dobsonfly Larva are called hellgrammites

They turn into something that basically looks like this
