Hibiscus Sawfly larva? - Atomacera decepta

Hibiscus Sawfly larva? - Atomacera decepta
Taney, County, Missouri, USA
June 6, 2008
I'm pretty sure this is a Hibiscus Sawfly larva, Atomacera decepta, but it does not match the photos on the page- http://bugguide.net/node/view/4413/bgimage . I do not see the black tipped spines but this is one of the first to show on my hibiscus plants this year and the first time I have photographed the larva. Also I have a photo of a fly thats always close to the hibiscus but it's not a match to the Hibiscus Sawfly photos with no red thorax and transparent wings. I will send the fly photo next as "Hibiscus Sawfly?".
