Long-legged Fly;(Condylostylus specie) - Condylostylus - Male
Veneta, Lane County, Oregon, USA
June 4, 2008
Size: 3/16"
This long-legged flies were on my grape vine leaves feeding on blue-green sharpshooters, I think because parts of dark blue wings were on some of the leaves.
Both adults and larvae of the Long-legged flies are predaceous on many other insects and small arthropods, including mites, thrips, psocids, aphids, and other insects larvae.
