Pseudomasaris wheeleri - Male
Off Angeles Crest Highway, ~5000 ft, San Gabriel Mountains, Los Angeles County, California, USA

Size: ~ 18 mm
Taking nectar in Turricula parryi .
Though I've observed males in other areas of the San Gabriel Mountains, this is the first time I've been able to take photos of the otherwise fast-patrolling males.
