Shining Fungus Beetle - Baeocera

Shining Fungus Beetle - Baeocera
Horner Park, Richmond Hill (N43º52'20.2"W079º24'45.6"elev.199m), York Region, Ontario, Canada
June 5, 2008
Size: 2.4 mm
One of two Scaphidiinids collected from large Dryad Saddles (Polyporus squamosus) by the "conk-bonking" method. A moribund individual (victim to gassing by the agitated tetratomids I collected in the same jar), reluctant to show its antennae (or even stay off its back), so I don't know if ID can go any further.
