Explanation of Names
From Greek chele (χηλη), a claw.
chela noun, plural chelae - the terminal portion of an arthropod appendage (usually a leg, but may refer to a mouthpart) with a movable lateral claw, like that of a crab.
chelate adjective - possessing a movable lateral claw like that of a crab.
cheliform adjective - pincer-shaped.
cheliped noun - another term for chela, apparently referring specifically to a leg (Internet searches)
