Buprestid help? - Acmaeodera

Buprestid help? - Acmaeodera
San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA
June 14, 2008
Size: 3/8"
I'm looking for an ID for the Buprestid on the left. As a comparison the pair on the right appear to be Acmaeodera ornatoides.

Identification
Yes, the species on the right is A. ornatoides.

Moved
Moved from Acmaeodera.

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

I am not totally sure but it
I am not totally sure but it looks similar to Acmaeodera retifera to me.

I suspect Acmaeodera neglecta
I suspect Acmaeodera neglecta Fall, 1899, but I can't be sure.

Identification
Acmaeodera neglecta is a good bet, but so too would be A. neoneglecta and, possibly, A. tubulus. We do not know the limits of their ranges and how much they may overlap. The bottom line here is that the image is too small to render an identification; however, that may be moot.
