beetle - Strangalia luteicornis
Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, USA
June 14, 2008
This beetle was found along the bank of the Flint River in central Georgia. It is on the flower of a sensitive vine (Mimosa strigillosa).

That thorax says Strangalia to us
maybe S. luteicornis, in the guide here
