Syrphid flies
but I can't tell which one. If you have a shot from the top, someone will be able to tell you more by looking at the markings on the abdomen. Can't see them from this angle.

Lyn, if you don't have such a photo...
Check Toxomerus to see if they look like yours. (They're the most common.)
