Green Immigrant Leaf Weevil Eggs - Polydrusus formosus

Green Immigrant Leaf Weevil Eggs - Polydrusus formosus
Beaver Creek, Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada
June 12, 2008
Size: 0.8 mm
I brought a female of this species home in a jar with a leaf. Later on, I found part of the leaf folded, and the female with her abdomen extended into the fold. She stayed put even after being nudged. Afterwards, I opened the fold to find a bunch of eggs that the female had laid.
