This is a very small fly. The red eyes and brown thorax are interesting. Any ID for it? Thanks.

I had some photos of flies that looked like this and they were IDed as in the family Lauxaniidae.

Yes, this is in the Lauxaniidae. It is a species in the Minettia obscura group. The species unfortunately can't be distinguished without dissecting the male genitalia...

but maybe browse through Acalyptratae? A couple in there look close to me, but I am not really qualified, this is just a guess as it is.
