Bumble Bee - Bombus rufocinctus - Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA June 18, 2008
This was a small bumble bee about the size of a small honeybee. This is the only one of this color I've ever seen in the yard. Could this be Bombus ternarius? Note from June 21: I've seen several more of these bumble bees in the yard since this first one appeared.
