Willow Leaf Beetle - Plagiodera versicolora

Willow Leaf Beetle - Plagiodera versicolora
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
June 20, 2008
Size: 4 mm approx
A willow in my local park had a large broken branch within easy reach. I told the friend I was with that willows are great bug hosts, so we started a search. Within a minute we had found this guy and six other insect spp. - two hoppers, two other beetles, a bug and a fly. That's on one branch!
