Assuming it's female, based on the length of the last pair of legs. U.S. $0.25 (quarter) used for size reference. There has been some landscaping in the area the past 3 or 4 days. My guess is that they either dug it up or brought it here and it found its way through my open windows (nice weather!) into my bathtub. Images were 'corrected' using Jasc's Paint Shop Pro 9's 'one-step photo fix' - it works better without a flash in your face...

house centipede
Sure looks like a house centipede. Icky? I'm not sure what you mean by they're "icky". They may not be the prettiest bugs in the world, but they're good at hunting pest type bugs in your house, and they'll usually avoid you if they have the choice.
