Swarming beetle - Brachinus
Upper Sycamore Canyon at Ruby Road, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
June 19, 2008
We saw several swarms of dozens to hundreds of these beetles along the Sycamore Canyon creek bed. They appeared to be congregating in small dead leaf piles.
