Is this a type of carrion beetle? - Megalodacne heros

After doing a search on the Beetles guide, the closest match I could come to was Nicrophorus sayi. Is this a correct assumption? My next question: is it poisonous if eaten? (the bright orange and black wings make me suspect it is). Of course, if it is a dung beetle, that might be enough to turn a predator away too! Thanks for any help!

Fungus beetle
This is a fungus beetle, genus Megalodacne. I don't know if its toxic, but it certainly wants you to think it is.
