under-rock alleculine - Hymenorus

Size: about 7.7 mm
I found two of these beetles, both teneral (newly eclosed from pupa), each under a different granite stone in a mixed woods. Each stone also had ants living beneath it but not in immediate proximity to these alleculines. I suppose that the larvae are soil-living.

Hymenorus
Hymenorus sp. I was told that larvae live in dry litter such as that accumulated in tree holes. Was there any dry litter under the stones as well?

Thanks for ID, Kojun.
No dry litter under the stones, just root mats as they had been sitting there for years undisturbed and had partially settled into the ground. Maybe the larva lives in dry litter then seeks out a more protected place to pupate.
