This shiny fellow caught my eye as it landed on Forget me not flowers and others found in a forest about 7200 foot elevation . This is the first time that I had seen this type , thanks for any comments , Beth

I think the bright legs are a
I think the bright legs are an indicator for Eulonchus sapphirinus.

 
When you look at the pictures
When you look at the pictures of E. sapphirinus (particularly the mated pair on the Iris) you will see just how bright yellow the legs have to be. Also both the femur and tibia are fully bright yellow, with just the tarsi becoming yellow-brown.

 
There are several images on the genus page
with bright yellow legs. If that turns out to be a species indicator, that will help to ID several contributions.

 
These legs are not the bright
These legs are not the bright yellow of E. sapphirinus or E. smaragdinus. Yours is closer to Eulonchus tristis from northern California/Oregon/Wahsington or the undescribed species from the central and southern Sierra Nevada. I suspect it is the undescribed species. Ev Schlinger is supposed to have this one described in manuscript.

Reminds us of images we see
identified as Eulonchus, in the guide here. Dennis is an expert in these and should be able to give you more definite information.
