Arrow-shaped Micrathena - Micrathena sagittata - male

Arrow-shaped Micrathena - Micrathena sagittata - Male
Rome/Ridge Ferry Park, Floyd County, Georgia, USA
June 17, 2008
An adult male Arrow-shaped Micrathena (Micrathena sagittata). This individual was apparently trying to court a nearby female, but he fled from her web when I got too close. Notice how vastly different the males are from the females.
