Assassin Bug - Pselliopus cinctus

Assassin Bug - Pselliopus cinctus
Montgomery, New York, USA, Orange County, New York, USA
June 24, 2008
Size: 11 mm
This looks like an assassin bug, Pselliopus cintus with a leaf beetle, probably Ophraella conferta. Any other ideas?

Moved
Moved from Pselliopus.

Pselliopus cinctus
This can be moved; the humeri, posterior pronotal margin, and anterior pronotal lobe coloration are spot on for the species.

Pselliopus sp.
The genus is in need of revision, and will likely include species now undescribed. Great image!
