Dragonhunter for NJ data point - Hagenius brevistylus - Male
Stockton College Campus, Atlantic County, New Jersey, USA
June 20, 2008
first I've seen this very cool species on campus.

Impressive
Campus animal. Is there a creek on campus?

Yes,
HR,

Thanks very much for your note.

Morse's Mill Stream runs from the campus lake (created by local settlers in 1800s for mill power) eventually out to Nacote Creek and Mullica River.

The creek has odes not found elsewhere on campus (it seems), including this guy. A student and I found the dragonhunter in a semi-shaded/semi-open spot on stream with lots of both ebony and sparkling jewelwings....its potential prey, possibly.

Jack
