Spider Wasp - Episyron - male

Spider Wasp - Episyron - Male
Lacey (near Olympia), Thurston County, Washington, USA
June 23, 2008

Looks like...
Episyron. It would be difficult to tell which species from this photo and there are several possibilities. However, I do think placement into Episyron is safe.

Thx Nick
Thanks for the quick ID, Nick. Male or female?? (And how do you tell?)

Male...
I think I can discern thirteen antennomeres so it is a male. Another characters is actually a "gestalt" character: the more robust body proportions of females. There are also differences in body pubescence. Additionally, males have one more sternite than females, but that is rarely visible in typical photos.
