Size: 1/2 inch
fast crawler. Looks the size of a jumping spider. Wife keeps finding these boys in our apartment

This is not a jumping spider.
This is not a jumping spider. Check out the mouse (or ground) spiders in the genus Poecilochroa. But note, the images on this web site are under Peocilochroa, which is a misspelling.

Spelling corrected
Spelling is corrected, but we find several sources here's one and here's another that say the correct name for this species is Sergiolus capulatus. Any thoughts?

Poecilochroa variegata is now Sergiolus capulatus. I made the guide page based on your info, thanks.
