Glowworm Beetle - Phengodes

Glowworm Beetle - Phengodes
Geneseo, Henry County, Illinois, USA
June 7, 2005
Any ideas on this one? I found something similar in the Peterson Field Guide of Beetles, but I have a hard time with drawings. Is this a glowworm beetle? This was attracted to a blacklight that I set out last night. Image 9364 looks similar, but I'm just not sure.

Yes, male glowworm:-)
Neat image of a neat beetle in the genus Phengodes, family Phengodidae. Females are larviform, retaining all the characteristics of their youth, but adding mature reproductive organs, and compound eyes! I love the antennae on the male.

That looks a lot like the one I'm trying to identify!
