GREAT ventral photo!
This beetle could be ID'd even without the two dorsal shots. The underside is distinctive but so few photos show it! Recently a photo of M. picta with an unusual dorsal pattern couldn't even be ID'd to genus until the specimen was mailed to an expert. When he had the time to look at it a month later, he easily ID'd it by looking at the underside. If there'd been a ventral photo along w/ the dorsal, we'd have compared it to your excellent photo here and ID'd it right away ourselves!
