Tibicen tibicin "australis", "Southern Swamp Cicada"
Floridian populations of this cicada deviate from most other populations of T. tibicen (chlormerus). More often than not the pronotal collar is green (not black) and there is dorsal pattern evident in the form of greens, some black delineation, flanked by rich reds/reddish browns.
The ventral pic helps me see that the legs are green and that there is no ventral black midline stripe running down the abdomen.
f.y.i. - Coastal Lyric Cicadas, Tibicen lyricen virescens, have a black pronotal collar, brown legs and a shiny black ventral stripe!
