I'm horrible at IDing grasshoppers. Even worse than moths!!

Moved to species, with
the caution that it might be wrong. It has the distinctive "look" of this species, and probably is it, but it's very hard to be 100% certain with nymphs of this genus.

It's in this subfamily, and most likely a species of Melanoplus. Can't do better than that without more learnin'.

Nymph.
This is the nymph of an acridid grasshopper, probably something in the Melanoplinae subfamily. Even the 'adults' are a pain for 'experts' to ID, so take heart already:-) Moving to family page for now.
