Parasite on Lichen moth - Hypoprepia fucosa

Parasite on Lichen moth - Hypoprepia fucosa
Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, USA
June 29, 2008
Painted Lichen moth with what appears to be a parasite on its back. Similar in appearance to the usual mite larva but green and rounder. The moths scales seem to have been removed in the immediate area. Could this be from attempts to dislodge it?
