Vanessa virginiensis - American Lady
on one of its favorite foodplants, Antennaria, or some close cousin. We'll often find the leaves of Pussytoes webbed together. And when we look inside there will be one of these beauties.

Not only an ID for the caterpillar, but the host plant, too. I'm going to have to start checking those Pussytoes more carefully. Thank y'all. (Marvin)
