Curicta pronotata

Curicta pronotata
Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
June 27, 2008
Size: ~25mm
After several months of planning I had finally found Curicta pronotata at its type locality. They weren't easy to find and after several hours of searching with a dip net during the daytime I had only found a handful of specimens. But fortunately my permit allowed me to continue my collecting at night (normally Ft. Huachuca is closed to visitors at night), and the waterscorpions started coming out of their hiding places and suddenly started appearing everywhere!
