can't do better, sorry...

Thanks
Think I found it: Longhorned Beetle (Cortodera longicornis)

Not sure Cortodera is found in the East
You may be better off with the suggestion of Stenocorus vittiger??

Hmmm
Hmmmm... Haven't been able to locate an image of Stenocorus vittiger. On closer look doesn't appear to be Cortodera longicornis either. Back to square one...

google search...
...yields several pics of vittiger [mostly female though], e.g. a male at http://www.lesinsectesduquebec.com/insecta/24-coleoptera/stenoc.JPG

Thanks... It's a starting poi
Thanks... It's a starting point...

Another vote for Stenocorus.
Looking at the images in a "Field Guide to Northeastern Longhorned Beetles," by Doug Yanega (Illinois Natural History Survey, Manual 6, 1996), this is about the only thing it 'could' be. Difficult angle to make an identification from, though.

Thanks...
Thanks again...
