What kind of June Beetle? -
Cotinis nitida
Hollywood Cemetary, Richmond City County, Virginia, USA
July 7, 2008
Size: 20mm
10-15 of these were flying around a grassy area near a flower bush in early afternoon. Every once in a while one would land.

I think this is probably the
I think this is probably the green june beetle (Cotinis nitida), not the japanese beetle (Popillia japonica)
