Confirmed Larinioides sclopetarius
I have recieved a confirmation of the ID for this spider from Dr. Roger Pickavance.  Based on Dr. Pickavance's microscopic examination of the specimen that I collected after I photographed it, Dr. Pickavance identified this as: "Larinioides sclopetarius adult female"

I recognize that spider...
It's an orb weaver. In the Larinioides genus. Beyond that you'd have to ask an expert!

Ok, based on everything we can read
this one with the white forward pointing V and the abdominal pattern outlined in white is L. sclopetarius. We'll move it there.

Always neat to see how many different
kinds there are out there! These are such neat spiders. I have needed to spray my house and yard for wasps (we are simply over run) but I have been avoiding it for fear of hurting our L. Cornutus family on the porch!
