Fairly certain that this is Sibovia occatoria but will wait for a confirmation before placing it there.

I just posted some images...
of one of these hoppers. Nice work! For some reason, I had a hard time focusing on this critter. I took a dozen shots of it and only two came out. Could have been the rather large carpenter ants crawling up my legs while I was trying to take the pics though :^)

almost didn't want to submit mine... :)

I am glad I am not the only one who gets it! Nobody understands why I go out crawling through the woods and swamp on days with ~100 heat index with my hands full of sweat covered pricey equipment fighting the briar patches and thickets while swatting away the mosquitoes and ants and ducking the wasp all to get a picture of a bug... The more I think about it, the more I don't understand it either... ;)
