What kind of Underwing is this? - Automeris io

I found this beauty in our garage on the morning of July 7, 2008. The closest I have come to identifying it is that it's probably an Underwing. I don't have field guides for moths, however. So, I could use some help in figuring out what kind it is.

Io Moth

Not an underwing
but a saturniid called Automeris io.
