Yes.
Yes, this is probably 'the' true katydid, and nothing is wrong with the "stridulatory file," otherwise known as the 'noisemaker.' That part of each wing is highly-modified in the male to not only create sound, but to amplify and broadcast it, too. Knowing how loud they are, that is quite remarkable, don't you think?:-) Beautiful images, thanks for sharing.
