Strange worm

I found this Fat Worm eatting my Banana pepper plants, I'm not sure what it is. Everything points to a Tomato Hornworm (Monduca quinquemaculata) But the discription isnt right
( Caterpillars are green with eight diagonal white stripes which join to form a series of V's, have a green horn with black sides projecting at the rear, and are 3 to 4 inches long.)
This guy is Bright Green with a yellow stripe down his side and a horn on his butt

"a horn on his butt" probably means Sphingidae
Here is a link to our Sphingidae/Sphinx Moth guide page.

Click here to search the HOSTS caterpillar hostplant database for sphinx moths reported to eat peppers.

We are gettig closer
He looked a lot like the guy on the end but was about 4 inches long, as round as my thumb and his skin was smooth. I wish I had taken a picture of all 4 of them. They wiped out one pepper plant and was working on my last one when I found them.

could be
the guy on the end. They get bigger and rounder as they age.
