Director's Commentary - Pnirontis

Director's Commentary - Pnirontis
Dog River, Mobile County, Alabama, USA
July 10, 2008
Size: 10 ~ 12 mm
I watched this drama unfold last night, wishing I had the director's commentary. Would someone tell what's happening in "Assassin With a Monkey on his Back?" The monkey is a 3mm weevil-looking bug.

Moved
Moved from True Bugs.

the monkey is a stranded placid timid weevil
[i wish i knew southern fauna better, might be a Hy*pera, a molytine of sorts, or smtg quite unrelated] -- hapless/drunk enough to land on the Pnirontis
that's just my idea of a possible scenario

Good Review
I like your take on the scene. I prefer to think it's an alchol related incident on the part of the weevil than some metaphoric reference to the Pnirontis' drug problem.

pls move to the genus page of your choice :-]
(that is, Pnirontis or Hypera)
