Coreidae -
Piezogaster
-
Doddridge County, West Virginia, USA
June 23, 2008
This pair was found in Canadian Thistle patch. Possible to ID further? Is that a Tachinid egg on his head? I'm assuming this is a male, based on the behavior I observed.

Thanks!
I've moved it to the A. terminalis page as they were in the same area as the one in the guide I took one week later.

Not Acanthocephala.
This is a mating pair of coreids, but I can't be positive about what they "really" are: Euthochtha? Piezogaster? One of those two most likely.

No problem
I'll move them back for now, probably frass later since I already Piezogaster images in the guide (found in previous year in a nearby location).
