Size: 8 mm
Found on a pine tree. Perhaps a pine spittlebug? Specimen looks a bit different than the ones in the guide.

Aphrophora
A different subgenus (Plesiommata) than the pine spittlebug; probably one of the A. permutata species-group, whose adults are also associated with pines although the immatures live on understory plants.
