Big Prionid - Nothopleurus lobigenis - Female

Size: 2 in
At black light. The site is surrounded by typical Sonoaran desert habitat and some small enclaves of plants from other parts of AZ and Sonora. When this guy showed up I thought it was a Derobrachus hovorei (we got several of those, too) but note the numerous small teeth at the pronotum and serrated Mandibles. Derobrachus hovorei has three to four pronotal teeth and on big one on the mandible.

Not quite as common as Derobrachus. Wait til you see a male!

I don't see enough details, but I'd consider Nothopleurus madericus
