What is it...leaf hopper? - Acanalonia bivittata
Tinley Park, Cook County, Illinois, USA
Size: 1/8 inch
Found this on some common milkweed in my yard....It looked very much like a large aphid/flea. The books I have say possibly in the psyllid family. But none of the photos I've found on the internet look anything like it. In my close-ups it has a red eye.
